For each particular job we interpret architectural, structural and survey drawings to create the geotechnical model. The model divides the subsurface profile into a number of soil and bedrock units. We select geotechnical parameters for each geotechnical unit based on the borehole information, the results of field and laboratory strength testing, our knowledge and well established empirical correlations.
The geotechnical model is then used in our numerical analysis (Wallap, Plaxis 2D and 3D, Seep/w, Slope/w) for the optimisation of retention solutions, settlement analyses, seepage analysis, and dewatering solutions.
- Prediction of wall movements and adjacent structure movements using conventional methods (Wallap) or finite element (Plaxis).
- Optimisation of retention solutions.
- Settlement analyses (local settlements and global settlements).
- Design optimisation by Numerical Modelling.
